The plan of the Maison du peuple in Brussels by Vector Horta

The Maison du Peuple (French) or Volkshuis (Dutch) ("House of the People") in Brussels, was one of the largest works of Belgian architect Victor Horta, in the Art Nouveaustyle, opened on 2 April 1899. It was commissioned by the Belgian Workers' Party (POB-BWP). Its demolition in 1965, and replacement with by a skyscraper, is regarded as one of the foremost examples of "Brusselization"
